On June 1, 2008 at the Bucks County Golf Club, we proudly hosted one of the most entertaining and fun events of the season, which was deliciously successful. We couldn’t have done it without Celebrity Headwaiters Rich Reif, Dr. N. Robert Laws along with the community leaders who gave up a Sunday night in June to help CB Cares raise FUNds. Special thanks to Dr. Joseph Brosnan, president Delaware Valley College for assisting Rich Reif through the night with his table of guests.

Every element of the evening showcased the bounty that Central Bucks has to offer all of us. There were countless show stealers that included farm fresh asparagus and strawberries from the fields of Delaware Valley College, fresh local pork from Heybach & Sons that was beautifully prepared by City Tavern’s Chef Walter Staib. The first two courses of the menu were equally divine as a Smoked Gazpacho from Lilly Salvatore graced our soupspoons & lips; Max Hansen incorporated luscious organic baby greens from Blue Moon Acres that hugged his signature smoked salmon wrapped breadstick. This regional celebration didn’t end there, the Sweet Ending Dessert reception spotlighted the culinary students from the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology under the guidance of Chef Mike McCombe. They upgraded those strawberries with chocolate covered tuxedoes as well as an array of other scrumptious desserts. Most definitely this was an event that left a good taste in your mouth.
