Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County
Mission: BBBS provides quality volunteer and profressional services primarily through mentoring and leadership development, to make a positive difference to Bucks County youth enabling them to achieve their highest potential as they grow to become responsible adults.
Volunteer Opportunities: We have several different types of volunteer programs.
1.We match adult volunteers to children between the ages of 4 –17 years old in a one-to-one mentoring relationship in a variety of programs. We ask a mentor to spend at least once a month with a child doing a variety of activities in the community.
2. The school based program matches corporate mentors with a student referred by the school who are deemed at-risk of academic failure, social difficulty, and in need of a positive role model. Students and mentors meet in the school building during the academic school year.
3.The High School Bigs program pairs high school students with elementary schools students in an after school program.
4. The Bridge program matches volunteers with children who have a family member or close relative who is incarcerated.
