CB Cares Educational Foundation is an independent 501c3 nonprofit organization and does not receive taxpayer dollars through the school district. CBCEF is completely dependent on the generosity of donations from individuals, organizations and businesses in the region to support our work and programs through EITC sponsorship and the two special sponsorship event opportunities in the fall and spring.
The month of October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month and October 21st – 29th is Red Ribbon Week for school-age children in our community. Both of these national initiatives emphasize the importance of avoiding drug and alcohol use. Pumpkinfest is a commitment to provide valuable programs and ATOD (alcohol, tobacco and other drugs) prevention resources to make sure we live in a vibrant and healthier community. The proceeds from Pumpkinfest will allow us to continue our work to provide our Developmental Assets-based programs for the youth, parents and educators in the community. Valentines for Seniors
Every year the students in the CBSD afterschool program lovingly participate in our Valentines for Seniors project. Homemade old fashion Valentine cards are made by the dozens for our senior residents of Pine Run Retirement Community, Lakeview and Neshimany Manor as well as for patients at the Doylestown Hospital. Prior to the Valentine’s Day deliveries, these special cards are displayed in many of the storefront throughout Doylestown Borough.
