CB Cares Educational Foundation has invested our energy and resources in helping to build assets in the Central Bucks community. This work continues to have a profound impact on our children, youth and families.
As you would expect, the more people who purposely commit to making positive changes in our community, the better the impact will be. It is our hope our website will give the tools and resources to begin or continue building assets. We welcome your participation along with your thoughts, comments and success stories. Contact our offices if you would like to become a CBCEF partner, whether as an individual group, business, or organization.
Bucks County offers permanent medication drop boxes to properly dispose your prescriptions. For information about this program, please call: 215.244.7607.

CBCEF offers volunteer opportunities during the course of the year which prompt community members to develop and support various volunteer service projects. We kick off the year with CBCEF annual Martin Luther King Day of Service- a moving opening ceremony engages area choirs, youth performers, and various community members as we honor the compassionate spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Martin Luther King Day of Service remains our largest community-wide volunteer service project event. Opportunities listed below may be contacted any time during the year.
Martin Luther King Day of Service
This day of service is part of a nation-wide effort uniting volunteers from America’s small towns to large cities in honor of Dr. King’s legacy. CBCEF coordinates all of the MLK volunteer opportunities within the community. Each year more than 1,000 volunteers come out to support this national initiative for service projects. Our partnership with the inter-faith community allows us to work with several of the local congregations as well. This year’s Martin Luther King Day of Service will take place on Monday, January 19, 2015.
Safe Teen Driving
The goal of CB Cares’ Safe Teen Driving initiative is to provide our parents and teens with the resources to become safer teen drivers. Driving fatalities continue to be the number one cause of death for teens between the ages of 16 and 19. To help reduce this tragic number of fatalities, we have approached this problem in several different ways: an evening community presentation featuring author and speaker, Timothy Smith, who spoke on the topic “Crashproof Your Kids”, the creation of our Parent/Teen Safe Driving Contract in partnership with the Fred Beans Family of Dealerships, and two roundtable discussions which included representatives from law enforcement, driving industry experts, elected officials, and teens. We continue to plan for future collaborative community discussions on this crucial topic.
