CB Cares Educational Foundation offers guidance, support, and initiatives aimed at nurturing more open communication between parents and children. This takes place in the form of discussion forums, social opportunities, educational programs, communication channels, resources, and guidelines, aimed at helping parents and youth to better understand and interact with each other.

The Power of Relationships
Join us for our first Parent Positive of the school year as Michael C. Reichert, Ph.D., founding director of the Center for the Study of Boys’ and Girls’ Lives, shares new perspectives about child development and why developmental relationships matter. Featuring the latest insights from psychology and neuroscience and drawing on his decades of research, the event will include discussions around the changing the culture, and how parents, educators, and mentors help children develop socially and emotionally.

Reichert is an applied and research psychologist who has long been an advocate for children and families. He is currently is on staff at the Haverford School and author of How to Raise a Boy: The Power of Connection to Build Good Men.

Parent Education Workshops

CB Cares Educational Foundation offers home and school associations, parent councils, school counselors, and other community organizations a large selection of parent education workshops, ranging from drug and alcohol issues, to stress reduction in the family, adolescence, health and wellness, technology, backpack safety, homework tips, and more. These offerings are approximately one hour in length and presented by professionals and agencies from our community.
